In November, 2019, we visited Agona Duakwa, located about 10 kilometres from Agona Swedru in the Central Region. We went with a team of volunteers, some of who were Parents. We had over 600 parents with toddlers represented on that day. Among them were pregnant women and widows. Our volunteers engaged them in a series of conversations on responsible parenting which helped them to understand their role as parents and many opened up about personal issues. After the important conversations, they received lots of donations of Birth Kits and Backpacks and clothing from donated by caring friends like you.Amazingly we were joined by Percy Jackson (the dancing teacher). It was a happy dancing time with the kids after that!
Our gratitude goes to the Chiefs and Elders of Agona Duakwa for their support.
Heartfelt gratitude to Ben Aidoo, our coordinator on the ground who ensured the event was a success!
