Our kids’ reading party is our innovative reading concept to get children to love reading while having fun at the same time. Every Christmas season, we choose one rural community where we want to implement our reading project.

Our target is children from Kindergarten to Grade 6..We then receive donations of books, food, biscuits, drinks, and party supplies from our kind donors to organize a fun party in the community for the kids. During the party we introduce group reading among the kids with the help of their school teachers. We talk to the children about the importance of reading and find out their future goals. We involve their school teachers because we want to encourage them to continue having an interest in the kids even outside school.

After the party we leave the books at an assigned location where the kids can have access to it on weekends to read. Teachers in the community are encouraged to meet them at that location to help them read.
